When is a real estate appraiser classified as a training appraiser?

An appraiser is classified as a training appraiser when he/she has not reached the minimum number of appraisal hours required to obtain his/her full appraiser's license or does not meet other specific state requirements.

Does GetAppraisers.com allow training appraisers to be listed on the web site?

Because of multiple state federal and lender guidelines GetAppraisers.com does not currently offer advertising space to training appraisers.

After I am listed how is my listing information edited? Do I edit it myself?

What is PMI?

Otherwise know as Private Mortgage Insurance, PMI is an insurance payment that lenders attach to a mortgage payment for mortgages with a high Loan to value ratio. PMI is designed to insure against any loss to the investor and does nothing for the consumer.

Can a homeowner have PMI cancelled by their mortgage company?

Yes, with a qualified appraisal, a homeowner may be able to have PMI cancelled. If the customer's property was purchased over two years ago, the lender's guidelines for cancelling the PMI are followed properly, and the owner is determined to owe less than 80% of the home's appraised value, PMI may be cancelled.
